President's Message

by Bill Wood

In my message last November, I mentioned that the Friends of the TCU Library was founded on January 28, 1972.  Well, my Friends, on January 28 of this year, our organization became twenty-five years old.

     So, let us celebrate!

The festivities will be part of our Annual Dinner scheduled for Tuesday evening, April 1, at Colonial Country Club.  We will begin with a reception at 6:30, with dinner at 7:00.  Following dinner and a brief business meeting, the rest of the evening will be pure entertainment furnished by our featured speaker, Dr. Don Graham, Professor of American and English Literature at the University of Texas at Austin.  Dr. Graham's speech, entitled " Dobie, Beichek, and Webb: Three Legends of Texas Literature", promises to give us a flavor of Texas culture which is a cornerstone of our state, our regiona and of Texas Christian University.

So, come join us on April 1, and celebrate our twenty-fifth anniversary.  And should you have a friend who shares an interest in assisting the Library, but is not familiar with the Friends, please invite that person to join us that evening.  Reservations can be made by calling the TCU Library.
