Special Collections Acquires Amon Carter Papers
by Roger Rainwater

Last July, the Carter Museum transferred the Amon G. Carter Papers to Texas Christian University. The collection, measuring approximately 205 linear feet, is now housed in Special Collections. The material documents the social, cultural, and business history of Fort Worth, Texas, and the Southwest, as well as Carterís personal and business interests. The collection consists of papers, photographs, newspapers, and artifacts, including the original cow bell which was rung on WBAP radio. The collection is a unique resource for students and scholars, and a most valuable and interesting addition to Special Collections. For further information contact Glenda Stevens, Senior Archivist
