Bistro Unplugged - by Terri Chanlatte

Katie KellogFernando InglesThe new public relations vehicle at the TCU Library is the Bistro Unplugged series. This programming is designed to help promote the usage of the Bistro Burnett Café. The idea behind the unplugged series is a coffeehouse kind of format that facilitates easy listening and conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. The Bistro Unplugged program incorporates a format that includes acoustic guitar, violin music and a poetry and short fiction “stand-up” compiled and provided by Steve Sherwood, director, of the TCU Writing Center. We are expecting a good-sized crowd for our Poetry and Short Fiction event in the Reading Room on November 14 from 4-5 p.m. Join us for cookies and coffee and the clever decorations of our faculty, staff and students.

Come join us for coffee and conversation on alternating Wednesdays from 3-4 PM and Thursday afternoons from 4-5 p.m. Watch for these dates in November; 7, 13, 14 and 21. Our programming winds up for the semester December 4th. Look for us again in the spring!
