Historic Tobacco Ads on Display - by Terri Chanlatte

Currently on display in the TCU Library are tobacco ads from the TCU Daily Skiff 1931-1963.  This interesting exhibit was prepared and installed by Susan Swain of the Special Collections Department.  Before the Skiff stopped taking tobacco ads in the 1960s, every issue carried several designer ads.  The clever ads illustrate perceived changes in social attitudes about smoking over time. Drop by to view this exhibit in the Bistro Burnett Cafe located in the TCU Library lobby.
