Dr. Arthur Ehlmann led an enthusiastic group of Friends and guests on “An Evening Space Adventure” Friday evening November 7th in the Library Conference room.  Following his talk the crowd enjoyed a guided tour of the Oscar Monnig Meteorite Collection in Sid Richardson Hall.  Dr. Ehlmann is Emeritus Professor of Geology and has done extensive research on meteorites, primarily those in the extensive collection held in the Geology Department.  Teresa Moss, Director of the Collection, joined him in his presentation.   Attendees also enjoyed hot cider and pastries on what had turned into a cool and rainy evening.

This was the second program in the Friends sponsored FACULTYSPEAK series.  Each fall and spring semester a TCU Faculty member will lecture in their area of expertise.  Last spring Dr. Linda Hughes, Addie Levy Professor of English, inaugurated the series with a talk on Victorian literature at an English tea in the home of Cynthia Reaves.
