New Information Commons (IC) Desk Installed
By James Lutz, Director of Library Administrative Services
During the winter break the Library and Technology Resources collaboration known as Information Commons (IC) had a new desk installed in the Library. A cleaner and more permanent looking desk still offers the same services to students, staff, and faculty. Library and Computing assistance is available at the desk. Reference Librarians are available to assist in your research needs from building to database orientation and can suggest among the many available resources the best for your given project. Consultation and assistance with computer problems and hardware / software selection and purchase is available from Technology Resources staff (formerly Information Services).
Additional services include laptop checkout and Frog Pod reservations. There are 30 laptops for use in the library with three hour loan periods. Laptops are equipped to use FrogWave, the campus wireless computing network. Four Frog Pods are available for group computing.
