President's Remarks - by Bridget Thomas
Just a quick note to declare that itís spring! The birds are singing, the flowers are blooming and the skies are blue. Before we know it the sultry days of summer and the sweet smell of fresh cut grass are just around the corner. It has been a fine year, one full of excitement and plenty of opportunities for all of us to remain fully engaged in the business of life.
If you have missed out on the activities so far this year, please mark your calendars for two special events that are not to be missed; the Friends Dinner on April 5 with Bob Schieffer and the new series, FacultySpeak with Gene Smith from the Center for Texas Studies at TCU on June 4. Watch your mailboxes for future announcements to follow.
As always, I am grateful for the opportunities that being a member of the Friends of the TCU Library affords us all. Donít forget that membership is more than just check out privileges. Please join us to meet new friends and participate in interesting and stimulating events. I look forward to seeing you soon.
I have enjoyed serving you as president and look forward to remaining an active participant for years to come. Donít forget that Friends memberships make wonderful and enduring gifts for the book aficionados on your lists.
My warmest greetings to you all,
