Jean Froissart (1333?1400?) was a French historian and poet whose vivid and pictorial chronicles cover the years ca. 1325 to 1400. This is the first English edition (translated by John Bourchier, Lord Berners) and the version used by Shakespeare for a number of details in his play, Richard II.
