Luxembourg Ambassador Visits TCU
Ms Arlette Conzemius-Paccoud,
ambassador of Luxembourg to the United States, was on the Texas
Christian University campus 23-24 March 1999. During her busy two
days she spoke to a graduate business class, visited the
Pate-Newcomer Luxembourg Collection, and presented additions to
the collection to Chancellor Ferrari.

In the evening, the ambassador
spoke to the Friends of the TCU Library in the Dee J. Kelly
Alumni Center. She also assisted Mr Robert Seal, University
Librarian, in presenting a plaque to Vice-Chancellor Emeritus Dr
James Newcomer as a token of the library's appreciation for his
work in building the collection.

Ms Conzemius-Paccoud presented her credentials to President
Clinton as Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the
United States on 10 September 1998. She also serves as her
country's ambassador to Canada and Mexico. Since joining the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg in 1981 she has
represented her country at the United Nations, the Council of
Europe, the European Community, and the United States. She holds
degrees from the Graduate Institute of International Studies,
Geneva, Switzerland and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy,
Medford, Massachusetts.
