Swank Film Faculty Request Form

This form is to be used by Faculty for requesting a swap of films in the Swank streaming database for course reserves. The library has curated and licensed 50 films that can be “swapped” for other films as needed by faculty for their courses. Please make sure we don’t already have your film available in the library catalog https://library.tcu.edu/catalog. You will receive an email once your requested film is “live” and you may link to it through the catalog in your online course shell or via your syllabus. 1. All Swank titles exclude Public Performance Rights (PPR).

2. Films must be used for a specific course. Please have course information handy to fill out the form.

3. Library staff require a minimum of 72 hours to process the swap with the vendor. Holidays and Library/University closings may also impact timing.

4. Please contact your library subject liaison if you cannot find your required film in the catalog, especially if you viewed it through the Swank database recently. Licensing may have changed or there may be an issue with the catalog record.

5. Films may be used in the classroom for instruction, linked to online course support, or used in TCU course related events that are not advertised to the public or charged an entrance fee.
