TCU Gives Day

We did it! Thank you to all of our generous donors for
participating in the TCU Gives Day – Library Challenge!
We hit our goal of 50 gifts to unlock the Friends of the TCU
        Library Challenge gift of $25,000.

By supporting the Mary Couts Burnett Library, you created
an investment for the better – powerful opportunities
that allow us to provide intellectual resources, innovative
technology tools and an inspiring physical and virtual
environment for our students and faculty. You also invested
in Lead On: A Campaign for TCU. Talk about impact!

Additionally, during the month of September, the Library
participated in a crowdfunding project in which we reached
out to students, faculty, staff and donors via social media to
raise funds for a new 3D printer.

Great news! We raised enough funds to purchase a large printer for big jobs.

Frog Fountain has been a focal point of campus life for five decades. It was placed in front of the original Brown-
Lupton Student Center in 1969. It features four lotus leaves, a motif chosen because of the historic association of lotus to
education. It has four lotus leaves that represent each year of a student’s education and demonstrates how knowledge
flows from one year to the next. It was refurbished and moved to the Campus Commons in 2008. Frog Fountain was
created with a gift from oil man H. Houghton Phillips, Sr., of San Antonio and his wife Winnie Phillips.
